Alnwick Castle Golf Club is committed to the development of the junior section and for many years we have been renowned for being successful in developing junior golfers.

Alnwick Castle Golf Club have received a High Achiever Award from GolfMark, signifying the our commitment to Junior Golf. To achieve Higher Achiever the golf club has met additional conditions over and above those minimum standards required for GolfMark.
The three key areas within the golf club that assessed are;
· Coaching and playing.
· Club environment (including sport equity and ethics).
· Child protection and duty of care.
We offer a wide range of junior competitions throughout the school holidays and there are also regular coaching sessions provided by our affiliated PGA professional Peter Ritchie and he is assisted by our junior organiser Duy Lam. These are designed to introduce our juniors to the many aspects of the game of golf and all the benefits of playing.
All our juniors can obtain a Congu Handicap and are able to play in all senior competition once they have obtained the qualifying handicap. The club also has a team in the North Northumberland Junior Golf League and also we encourage juniors to play in county events which are run through the Northumberland Junior Golf Association.
Alnwick Castle Golf Club also recognises the process from junior golf into the adult section and the big changes in membership subscription rates and therefore we have discounted rates for 18-29 year olds.
